I got a afco 27.5" radiator from speedway and the upper neck is only 1.25 instead of 1.50. this is the one the tech guy recomended. is this going to work? or will it restrict water flow to much?

It will work fine. DONT run a restrictor in the water neck on the engine though.

As long as you can make a hose work, it will be fine. I don't think the smaller size will be a problem with water flow and cooling. I weld -16 fitting on some radiators and they have a smaller hole than that and it doesn't seem to bother the cooling.
