Florence speedway pure stock gear

I'v never raced at florence, I was wondering if someone could put me in the ball park on a rear end gear ratio.....Thanks

i ran a 514 gear about 20 years ago ,,,cars are a little better today,,engines are better today also! call Dave Mc Williams he was pretty good in those cars.

We used to run a 5.83 but now a 6.00 to help with the restrictor plate

Ok, thanks...I was guessing about a 5.43 or 5.67 so I would have been a little off. What kinda rpm's do you run with a 6.00 gear?

Depends

Gear depends on what motor your running, what rpm you want to race in and where on the track you might like to run..
I have used everything from a 5.43 to 6.00

I use a 5.83 and hit anywhere from 6500 to 6700rpm
