    ok i got a th350 in my asphalt street stock, that i am planning on running Baerfield Speedway 3/8 what gear would i put in to get about 6700-6800?

        i am going to run the tranny in 3rd gear i am just wanting to know what gear would be good for the rearend

          if you have a ford 9" try 6.00-6.33, if you are running a stock rearend you might have to look into something else.

            yea i am running an 8.5 gm rearend they do not allow us to run 9" fords

              I would try a 2.42 first or 2.73. Not sure if that gear is available for 8.5? Then run it in Low. You will not find a rear gear tall enough to turn those rpms in 3rd gear.

                i run a stock 7.5 with a 2.56 and a th350 in first gear with a stock 355 and a gm z28 cast iron high rise "cast iron copy of the old aluminum one", stock below plug cast iron exhaust, 4412 holley and i turn 6000 rpm on a 3/8 mile..with the cast iron lower intakes you will get 5500 rpm, try the 2.73 or higher.
