    Rear axle

    Will a slightly bent axle flange cause alot of problems on a 9 inch ford

      Just checking everything on rearend and noticed the left rear flange where the wheel bolts on was slightly bent have not ran this rearend yet didn't know if this would cause any problems

        If the flange is bent, then I would guess the tube is tweaked as well.

          i have put axles out of a street car in my lathe that run out. it may have came from the factory like that

            If you have to beat the axle into the housing dont even try to run it the housing is bent. I blew up two gears once because of this

              If the flange is bent, the wheel will wobble. Jack it up and run it in gear and see how bad it looks. Eventually the flange will crack where the axle meets it. have to keep a close eye on it.
