    Set engine back?

Metric renegade on 4/10s dirt track. We can set motor back, ball joint in line with #1 plug. If I do this it will be about 3 inches of moving engine. Is it worth moving firewall, trans mount and shortening driveshaft. I have heard its only good for about .3%. Does anyone know if thats correct? I have 400 lbs of lead in the car now ,all toward rear, that I can move around.

Not worth it.....I ran an IMCA against UMP cars who can set their engines back. Didn't help to much as I won races with my IMCA non-set back engine...LOL!

Depends , if you have no weight limit I'd definitely do it . If it has to weigh 3200 lbs it may not help . Ask yourself this, would you win if you took an emod and moved the engine back to stock position ?
