    Motor decision

Trying to decide on a 602 with a 4bbl and weigh 3000 lbs or up to 360 ci and weigh 3200 lbs.and a 4412 2 bbl. Then any ci 9 lbs per ci. Then any iron head add 100 lbs.what are some opinions. Pros and cons. Also all on h500.

With those rules a built motor with good heads should be better.

its going to depend on the rules for the 360ci built motor. compression rule? head rule? intake ect..

Any flat tappet cam, any intake, and factory head and flat top piston. Any aftermarket head add 100lbs. I have a set of dart iron eagle 49cc heads as well.

Do they consider the Vortec head as "Aftermarket" ?

with any intake and i assume no compression rule i would go with a built motor. see if you can get away with vortec bowties as "factory". use the super victor intake for the bowties and you should have plenty of power. If you want more compression you can have the heads welded and angle milled. gets them down to about 46cc or so.

The vortec heads would be considered a factory head and I do have a set of the bow tie head and the victor senior intake. They have also been angle milled. So you think I would be better off saving the 100 lbs and using those?
