3" springs

Anyone ever try running coil over springs in the back of a metric car, with out keeping them on a slider or anything or will they buckle and fall out

Pretty much everywhere , its not even legal . Most require 5" diameter .

My first exp with a dirt car was a 3 link limited late model. It had 2.5" springs on the rear with cups and wedge bolts on top. We didn't have any issue with the springs even though we were running about 535hp.
