    PUSHES going in!!

Ran car last night, pushes bad going in and of coarse no bit off! Last year I ran a stiffer front (1100lf 1300rf 225rr 175lr it pushed but not this bad) I wanted to change things up and soften the front. This is what's on the car now.1000 lf 900 RF200 LR 16". 175 rr 13"Shock7/4lf. 1/9rf.... 1/9 is all I had. (I changed to a 6/6 and it plowed even worse I had to pull in and per the o ring it is bottoming out with the 1/9) 9/1lr. 4/4 Rr (C/R)Pretty much 53% on left, cross, and rear. (Of coarse the RF is to soft yon compression) but what is everyone's oppion?

Last year you had a 200lbs split in the front springs. Now you have a 100lbs reverse split. The front spring split has a lot of impact on entry.I would have droped to a 1000 l/f 1300 r/f.What is your toe setting?

Toe is 1/4 out.Could be what works for others won't work for me, been seeing a lot about these guys running a softer front with a tie down shock! Thought I would try it. Just wondered what I'm doing wrong! Lol I'm not opposed to going back to heavier springs.

Is this a metric car? On or off gas on entry? I had a metric car with 1400# lf and 1050#rf back in the 90s and it drove like a dream.

Are you sure it didn't push once the shock bottomed out?

Yes, metric car. Mostly of the gas it would push. You are probably correct. Rolled of so hard it would bottom out. You feel a higher compression would help or?

And what would you recommend for springs? Is that 80/60 comp/ rebound or rebound/comp?

On Bilstiens, the first number is rebound.

In my area, your front springs are close. Raise your rf ride height a little so it doesn't bottom out. I usually run 2 shock rubbers on the rf, just in case. However, Ive never been able to get those cars to work well with those soft rear springs. I generally ran 250/275 lr, 225/250 rr. A stiffer lr usually frees up your entry (off the gas) and gives more drive off.

Yes. You need more rf shock compression. And like the poster above, I would recommend rear springs in the 250 / 275 range

Taking Everyones advice and using what I have laying around. Will this be better? 6/6 lf, 5/8rf (this is all my local dealer has), 4/4 4/4 rears. Same front springs but 250 LR and 275 rr. (Or 225lr 250rr) I know it's not exactly what was recommended but without breaking the bank. These will be all Pros shocks. thoughts?

The shocks should help a bunch. My go to rear springs for forward bite were 275lr, 225rr. Metric cars have a high rear roll center and tend to like a bigger spring split in the rear. However, if you fix your push on entry, it will help with your forward bite.

How much lr bite do you have? More lr will free you up off throttle and give more bite off(125 to 175). I run a jet hobby converted to stock car. My spring rates are close to yours rf 1100 or 1050, lf 950, rr 175, lr 225. Shocks depend on track conditions.
