    oil pick up tube

What should be a safe distance between the oil pump pick up tube & the bottom of the pan on the 2.3 ? Using the Canton circle track pan. Thanks F-9

And Rules permitting, use an oil-accumulator on your wet-sump oil system. Canton or Moroso? In that manner, as you speed through a race-track corner and the oil slams to the side of your pan sump, and possibly uncovers your oil-pickup in the pan, the accumulator will immediately pressurize and feed oil throughout the engine. Think about it...... if your race car pulls 1G of lateral force through a high-speed corner, the oil in the sump of the pan will slam up the side of the pan sump wall(s) at a 45-degree angle! Not a good thing. -Dave-
