    Cam lift question ford 2.3

I have an undecked block with wiseco pistons and an unmilled head with the larger valves, my question is what do you feel is the highest can lift I can run without valve clearance issues?

My reason for asking is that the motor is already assembled. The lift of the cams that I'm looking at are .420", .450" and .480" roller style.

No problem. That is not much lift.

It's not the lift you have to worry about it's the combination of duration and lobe intensity. The piston is well out of the way at max lift.

OK, one of them 282 dur 112 lobe separation and the other is 282 dur 108 separation. The later one is a higher lift but it's closer to my rpm range.
