Accutech sportsman tach

Ok, put in the stock TFI distributor with the V8 module. Would that module make the tach hand go crazy? I had the Pro Comp (that went bad) & MSD in it & it worked fine. If that's the case, how would you set the distributor? Thanks for any help..... F-9
