2300 valve train geometry

Can anyone give me a refresher on how to set proper valve train geometry on the sohc 2300 Ford?Thanks

Shorten valve stem height to increase lift and lengthen to reduce. Set cam up for the lift at the valve. Cam says .630 lift and it measure .610 with zero lash then shorten the valve stem a little and remeasure. When lift at the valve matches lift on card within .005 or so you're good.
