    motor 2

    my car overheated last night and now it wont start but it tries to....its still full of oil....am i pretty much screwed?????

    probably. take the plugs out and see if it cranks over better. Then do a compression check
    Oval racing helps you unwind because you race counter clockwise.

          blowed head gasket! get head checked when u pull it! check block in cylinders for cracks!!!

              You said its full of oil, but how much water is still in the radiator? If the water is oily looking, you most likely cracked the block. Are you using straight water or is there antifreeze in it too?

                straight water and the radiator had almost no water in it and yeah the car still has all it oil in it

                    If the oil looks good still you may have lucked out (as far as damaging the entire engine). Definitely get the head milled while its off the block, willing to bet it warped when it got hot.

                        Milling the head will ensure its not warped. Otherwise you put it all back together & it wont run or it will run like crap. You can have it checked by a machine shop & they can tell you if its warped or not. If it needs milled, you will have to take the entire head apart. Cams & cam bearings, valves, springs, etc. will all have to be removed.

                          Just to add to what Dirtman said, if the valve springs aren't new and if you can afford it replace them while you have it all apart.
