crankcase vent

Hi All,new to boards
Where and how do you mustang guys hook up the vent under intake?Thanks in advance

Get rid of the stock oil separator (thats what its called) & put a PCV valve in the hole. I use a #1226 from autozone, put black RTV silicone on it and let it dry overnight. Then I run a piece of 3/8" vacuum line from the PCV valve up behind the intake and put an air filter on the end of the hose (the spectre brand @ autozone $9.99). I run the hose up about even with the valve cover & just ziptie the line to something (I use the bracket on the valve cover) to hold it upright.

FYI put the hose on BEFORE you put the PCV valve in the block! Very cheap & easy to do, Ive never had an issue with this setup.

we run ours to are exaust

keep the stock oil separator. run a line to a can and have it vented or run a line to an exhaust scavenger. one of my cars just has a line to a filter at valve cover height and my other car has the line go to the exhaust. as long as you don't have much blowby you should be ok.

Well,I intially just had the 3/4 hose with a pcv valve stuck in it but it blew the pcv right out(wasn't clamped).Was once told it could go to the carb spacer but don't know it that is a good idea.

I went the PCV route when I had the separator fall out during a feature, mine never was a tight fit in the block. Its just a vent anyways.
