neon tire size?

I know every track is different but I'm looking for a good tire size for a 3/8 mile track.

I'm running a 98 neon R/T manual trans.

the bad part is you'd have to run like a 12" tire in 3rd or a 16" tire in 2nd. neon gear are horrible for that size track.

if you got a 2001+ sohc trans you'd have a 1.95 2nd with 3.55 diff which is a 6.92 final along with some 205/60/14 tires you'd be hitting around 7500

if you run the trans you got (probably a 3.94 diff) in 3rd you'll be 5.35 final way to high and in 2nd 8.40:1 which is mega low.

Thanks for the info but its only for one race so im not going to change the trans. Im just going to find the smallest tire I can and try that. Looks to be a 185/60/14 tire.

you'll want to run a 13" wheel with like a 195/50/13 to run 3rd on a 3/8 mile
