Needle bearing head

Asking for a newbie wanting to build a 2.3 head, is it worth the trouble to have needle bearing installed for the cam and who does it and how much dose it run.

If they plan on turning over 8000rpm with extra high valve spring pressures then roller bearings could be a plus.For a newbe they are better off spending the extra money on tires,or something that will make the car go faster.Roller bearings will not improve performance just enhance durability of a high end motor.
