    2.3 using a 2.5 crank

    ok,,here is my question,,,,i have a 2.3 block..using a 2.3 crank,i have 5.7 rods in it with keith black 40 over pistons..i want to use a 2.5 crank in it..will this crank work with the rods and pistons i already have??

    No! You will need different pistons.The longer stroke crank requires the wrist pin be moved higher in the piston.You must also have a small journal block for the 2.5 crank to fit.If you have a large journal block you will need bearing spacers to use the 2.5 crank.

      Yes and also the block will have a spot on the oil pan rail that will need to be notched for rod clearance....

        No it will not, The 5.7/2.5 combination need a raised pin location on the piston. If not the piston tops will contact the head.
