i have a question for the 2300 experts. i have 2 2300 flywheels, 1 the bolts that hold the pressure plate are equally spaced around the flywheel and the other has the bolts in pairs that have 2 close the a big space and 2 close again. what is the difference and what is each one off of. i need the equally spaced bolt pattern if anyone has one. thanks ahead of time and i hope someone has ran into this before.

The flywheel with the two bolts close together is for a heavy duty pressure plate. Not sure they were specific for any particular model or year of mustang.I have a new flywheel with the bolt spacing you are looking for,( brand new never on an engine)for $60.00 plus shipping.

I have never encountered anything but the short bearing in stock applications. With a stock flywheel the short should be what you need. You may have to lengthen or shorten the pivot ball the throw out arm mounts to,to get the arm at the right angle to fully desengage the clutch.
