custom carbs

has anyone used a custom carb from a builder such as smi , willys , vdl ect. just wanted to know if any of these are worth the money. as they all cost between 575.00 and aprox 800.00 dollars. or is it possible to make a 7448 carb run as well as any of these.

can you run a demon? if so i have a beast money alredy spent ill sell you right! they out lawed it at our tracks its nasty! c&s carbs built it !

Pinto....... depending on your carb Rule, you might talk to Bob Oliver @ Competition Carburetion, up near Reno, NV (775)331-5609. He has set up a number of 2-bbls for our Pro-4 engines. And they RUN very well! Tell him your engine application & he'll completely 'adjust' the emulsion holes, pump/hi-speed/lo-speed air correction jets etc. etc. He's a carb perfectionist! -Dave-
