steering pump question

Going to put a steering pump on, don't have one, should I buy a stock one or should I buy a KRC? Which would work better?

Buy a made for racing pump,we tried several different stock pumps.They all went up in smoke in just a few minutes at speed.

we ran an old GM pump from a Chevy Monza last season and it worked well with no problems. used a slightly larger pulley but other than that no changes. had to make the brackets to fit the Ford motor but that was easy, too.

I used a pump off of a 99 Ford Escort. Has over 30 races on it with no issues. It's small and light. I used the pulley from an old smog pump to slow it down.
