Distributor Wires - Converting from vacuum to mechanical

I'm converting from a vacuum distributor to mechanical. The vacuum distributor has 3 wires coming out of it, the mechanical 2, both are black. What the heck do I do?

Are these points, onverted to magnetic or aftermarket? Stock points have one wire from the points and a ground. The stock electronic Dura Spark or TFI I have 3 wires. Don't know if it will help, however there are a couple of ignition wiring diagrams in the technical section at www.powerbyace.com

Rob, great schematics! My Pinto finally has the electrical gremlins which have done me in for the last 7 days. Someone smarter than me stated it would best to rewire the car......rather than keep chasing this thing. I continue to have a strong desire to learn as much as I can, have a great group of folks up here willing to help me......all is good (Or at least getting better...be well, Jim
