Car will miss and sometimes shut off.

My team mates Ford 2.3 will sometimes start to miss out on track. He seems to notice it losing power then start to miss. Before changing all parts listed it would also lose fire completely. Let it sit a couple minutes and it wold fire right up. I don't think it quite last night after we changed the coil but started to miss about 3 laps into the feature and he pulled off.

    He has changed, so far,

    All wiring
    Coil
    Guage/Switch panel
    Main ground
TFI Distributor/Module (not cap and rotor they were out of stock)
    Tach
    Plugs

The only things I can think of he hasn't yet switched out are the Battery, an Optima red Top 1 1/2 years old, the plug wires, and the cap and rotor. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Check the voltage output of the battery, especially with the engine and fan running for a while.Voltage needs to stay above 10 volts, anything less will cause misfires or poor performance.

Hopefully he found the problem. The plug in for the ignition module had broken a clip and vibrated loose. He is replacing the remaining parts anyway so hopefully we are good with that car. Thanks for the info on the battery.

If not take a good look at the plugs, It is possible it is fuel related. Could be a bad tank vent or even a bad pump, vapor lock. etc.
