Weve lost the paper that came with our 2 piece seal and i want to make sure i don't install it backwards. Does the bevel on a 2 piece seal go in toward the block ]< our out toward the fly wheel ]>? Also do y'all have any tips on installing the seal?

The lip goes in toward the block.Oil pressure pushes against the under side of the seal holding it tight against the crank.Installation is pretty simple.Some people like to off set the seal in the grove so that the mating surfaces are not square with the main cap mating surface.I like to install them flush with the cap and block.Make sure the groves are super clean before you install the seals.I also like to rub the surface of the seal lip with oil ( just a dab on your finger tip) to help lube it during first start up.
