    rear end help

    I will be installing a rear seal on a 6.75 mustang rear this week how do I remove the axle I have not looked yet but I have never worked on a 6.75 rear

    thanks for any help

    take off the brake drums and there are 4 nuts you take off,then pull out..no c-clips,and no real gear oil messes
    No matter how hard you try...you cant fix stupid!!!

    If you build it right...it will turn left!!!

      Most will require some force to pull the bearing out of the axle housing.I have a slide hammer that will bolt onto the wheel studs.A couple whacks later the axle will slide right out.You can make something similar to do the job.Be careful about hammering on the back side of the wheel flange,they can be damaged easily.

        If you dont have a slide hammer, you can take off the drum, turn it around and put it back on the axle. put in 3 bolts loosely. Use the drum as a slide hammer. Usually you can pull the axle.
