    No Speed

Under load, the engine acts like it has a rev limiter. In both 2nd and 3rd gears when I hit around 4000 rpm's the engine just flattens out. I neutral, no problems. Help!!!!

If not so equipped, find a chassis dyno in your area, where they can shove a wide-band O2 sensor up the tailpipe end and measure the air-fuel ratio under load. Or if you're running a Holley carb, the carb may be suffering 'spillover' from the accelerator pump squirters @ rpm under load. -Dave-

Have you pulled the carb and at the least completely dissassembled it and cleaned every part.Sounds like a plugged jet or damaged power valve. If carb is up to par then check ignition system, bad module or duraspark box, weak coil, tach problem.Start with the easy stuff, that is usually where the problems are at.
