    what do I need to do to build a 2550 or 2800 ford? if anyone can pm me. I need parts and whatever it takes to do it. thanks

    i have a fresh 2700 with all of the Esslinger goodies for sale,3 races since new pistons and rings,8 races total on block and crank...turbo block,arp main studs and esslinger straps, 5.5 rods, 40 over forged JE pistons with gapless rings...our track now has a lb per cc rule...so it does me no good...also have a ported,polished,and strapped .620 solid roller head seperate or together
    No matter how hard you try...you cant fix stupid!!!

      You'll need a stroker crank along with matching rods and pistons... Do you know what block you have, or are you starting from scratch?

      There is a Ford 2.5 crank (3.401" stroke) that can be used in a small journal 2.3 block resulting in a 2542cc engine when combined with a +.030" (3.810") overbore. You can use 5.7" rods with .960" compression height pistons on the 2.5 crank.

      We also offer an offset ground Ford 2.5 crank (3.580" stroke) that can also be used in small journal 2.3 blocks resulting in a 2682cc. engine with a 3.810" bore. In order to offset grind the crank to a stroke that large, the journal diameter has to be reduced to 1.850". We offer 5.7" rods in our new Ultra Low Drag design that are under 460grams, and matching .855" compression height pistons that weigh in at 272grams.

      Our company (Esslinger Engineering) also offers billet cranks to make 2500cc, 2700cc, & 2842cc. engines in BOTH large and small main 2.3 blocks. These cranks can be configured to work with 5.2", 5.5", 5.6", and 5.7" rods depending on which crank / piston combo you go with. The billet cranks are the most durable option, but they also cost more than the OEM based cranks...

      If you're looking for the absolute most powerfull combination, you might look at the 3147cc. kit we offer... That's a 3.934" x 3.950" bore and stroke! It's like driving a big block compared to a small block...
