    2.3 oil temp sender

Thinking about getting an oil temp gauge this offseason. Where are you 2.3 ford guys putting the sender at?

The only place you could put it and have an accurate reading would be on the passenger side of the oil pan below the static oil level next to the starter...

Or....... if you're running a dry-sump oil system, I place the temp sender in the output line off of the scavenge manifold at the oil pump. At that point, the engine has just finished 'using' the oil & the temp is highest at that point................. external of the engine for convenient sensor placement.

kinda depends on weather you run an external oil cooler. If you dont then the best way is to have a thread bung welded into the oil pan, but if you run an oil cooler externally then plumb it in as it comes out before the oil cooler.
