    2.3 roller cam

    I race a mustang on a 1/4 paved track. running a solid head now. new track rules are allowing roller heads . is the roller cam worth the price over a solid lift. I have a d-port aluminum and cast iron heads. is the power in a svo head worth the price. thanks

    That sounds like you have a couple questions I can answer for you:

    First off, YES, a roller cam is more powerfull than a solid non-roller cam hands down!

    As for comparing the SVO and aluminum D-port heads, the SVO head is capable of upto 30hp more than the Aluminum D-port. The aluminum D-port is meant to be a replacement for an OEM head. Yes, the Aluminum D-port does out perform the OEM heads, but the difference between the SVO head and Aluminum D-port is larger than the difference between the OEM and Aluminum D-port...
