Id run a Saturn. Lighter weight, and less HP but they make good power, and are balanced pretty well.. You never said dirt or asphalt though.

sorry 1/3 mile high banked asphalt oval. Best cars right now are prelude and neon. I thought it was interesting that nobody has tried a mustang yet..Would they not be any good for these rules. Thanks for the reply.

I run a mustang on dirt with a "moderately" built up 2.3L. Honestly the DOHC engines in the newer FWD cars make a lot more HP in stock form like your rules require. Theres an asphalt track near me & the late 90s cavaliers & Honda prelude/acura integra (90s models) seem to be the ones up front most of the time.
