8 plug 2.3 head carb intake

How can I convert a 8 plug head to use a carb with an OEM intake as my rules dictate?

If a picture is worth a thousand words look at these again from the 8plug head thread. The SVO intake takes some drilling and tapping but it does have a "FORD" oval and part number cast into it.Was a OEM accessory part.

If doubt if anybody but us guys from central Minnesota is using something like this. If Im wrong please post pictures of your stuff.May be a market for a bolt-up no-drill adaptor.

If you find a better way please share what you find.

Most just use the 8-plug head as a curb-stop. No secret power here, just plentiful and cheap.

Thanks for the reply, we have to use a production intake so that one won't work. Any other ideas?

We have to use a head from the same year vehicle.... and mine is a 93...

Get with your rules guys, and show them the problem with the 8 plug head and they will see that using a stock standard head and intake is more practical..If they are that hard headed and ignorant then find another place to race. As long as stuff is stock, it should not matter. Sometimes rules people are sooooo dumb.

Tell the tech guy it is an '89. Then you can use the D-port head and a OEM carb intake.

Once you take out all the lights, he won't know what year the body is.
Oval racing helps you unwind because you race counter clockwise.
