    602 crate oil amount

Don't want to sound dumb. Just had a thought and felt like asking this.

Says 8 qts with filter to run. Seems like a lot to me and I've never ran that much. What could you get away with in a 602?

Has anyone checked out the EVAC Kits on a crate?

8qts is too much IMO.... I never run more then 6, and have ran it as low as 4qts. If you race 1/2 mile or bigger tracks stick with 6qts, If you race 1/4-3/8 tracks you could run 5 qts and never have a problem.

Also, dont run the 20W50 oil. Run a good synthetic racing oil 10w-30, or 5w20. I run the Joe Gibbs oil and mix XP1 and XP3 50/50.

I run 6 qts Lucas 10-30 syn then go to 10-40 syn in the summer. I would think that's plenty.

Feel like you might be backwards. Oil temps are higher on hammer down tracks typical of spring so i would think you would want the 10/40 earlier in the year.
