anyone running a rack on a stock front clip and how is this done beside getting a rack and rack plate?

The biggest problem is getting the steering shaft out to the rack. I did use a steering box and on the pitman arm I ran a trailing arm over to a slider box that way it worked like a rack. But after doing all that work dont think it was worth it plus it got kicked out. What the slider box looked like a rack fact I used a old shaft from a rack and made a steel housing that had the same bolt pattern as a rack.
