You can only use a reverse mount if you run an OEM Trans and clutch. If you run Bert, Brinn, Falcon, you must run starter in stock location.

what is suppose to be the advantage to running a bert, brinn, or falcon and running the reverse mount starter? there are alot of IMCA rules that i just dont understand.

I believe the advantage with the reverse mount starter is the small flywheel. With the starter in the stock position you have to use a standard size Flexplate. The reverse mount starter uses a gear driving a very small flywheel.
