    Need opinion from engine guys.

Going to have a new engine built. Most of the guys I know are running 383's. I was thinking of building a 4" stroke motor. 350 block, 4.040 bore, 4" stroke. If I did the math right this comes out to 410. The tracks I run mainly are a little 1/4 mile bull ring thats stop and go and the other is a 4/10 thats wide and more of a momentum track.

    Opinions??

we ran 406's for a long time and had real good luck with them. very torquey and worked well on most tracks, though def better on the stop n go types. was a 400 block punched out. could go with a 400 block shorter stroke though, would lose a little torque but should still be more than a 383, and have a little more hp for the momentum track.

I already have the 350 block, so it's either the 383 or the stroked 410. I guess what I'm asking is, will the stroked 410 have too much HP and torque for IMCA tires?
