Buzzard leaf car do pretty good on tacky and when it slicks off they lack some forward bite. NO would not try a composite leaf for a fast boy set up, it would break. Give the details about your set up.

its an 01 buzzard. im running a 700 right front, 650 left front, 200 chrysler composit leaf on the left rear and a 35 composit leaf on the right rear with a 175 coil over on it during the heat and and practice and depends on the track i will sometimes put a 150 on the right rear. i can only run about 90 pounds of bite ine the rear other wise it gets a bad wheel hop in the rear. left side is 54.6 rear is 57.4 and cross is 54.5. as the night goes on if the track slicks off i will put one A on the right rear but i have tried all kinds of differnt set ups and i cant get rid of the wheel hop and i have almost no forward drive coming off the corner. i have the only leaf spring car in florida and only the secound buzzard car here as well. i ve called mike and spent hours on the phone with him but havent found a fix for my problem yet. i here that his cars are very fast up north and ive seen them run down here at volusia during speed weeks and they seem to haul ass but i for some reason am having a hell of a time getting this thing to work. thanks for your help.

Depending on the track I normally stay some where between 14-18 on the right side and6-8 on the left side as for shocks miles says to stay with 30-30 on the left and 40-40 bliesteen on the right side and a 90-10 on the rear in the center

I know this is an older thread but I had the same issues with our buzzard car we bought a new car from mike in 2015 and just couldn't get the car to work well we lacked forward and side bite we run IMCA we eventually converted the car to 3-link but didn't gain much doing that either.

had similar experience, ran composites too and was not any help. Car would turn in nice on entry and then you would have to wait to pick up throttle or if you got mid corner btter then the exit was loose. If you added lead to help with exit then it was not as good on entry. IMHO the ;leaf setup is not the deal for A mods. Still good setup for bmods but outdated for A mods. Would think buzzard would work on on three link, but I dont know anyone that has switched from leafs without doing some rework in the back to center it all for 3 link. best of luck.
