Alcohol runs cooler, and makes more horsepower cheaper. The downside is, it's corrosive so you have to make sure you don't let it sit in the carb from week to week. Drain the float bowls and fill them with gas. It also burns off quicker and changes weight distribution more as the race goes on. That being said. I choose to run it.
We run Alky also. If you run shorter races like most Saturday night cars I think it is the way to go. If you are a touring series guy or a specials only racer then gas. We use alots of alky lube in our fuel and have never had a problem with corrosion. But we do drain everything at end of year and run gas through system.
