i wanted to know which boxes are the best and what ratio are most people running. i am currently running the 605 box but would like to get one that is a little easier to turn. thanks

Steering Box
We have had 2 Shaw's with different steering boxes in them and neither were hard to turn. Current car has a 605. Check the power steering pump, drag link, pitman arm, idler arm and anthing else that you can think of that could be binding up in steering if you already haven't. Make sure you have matching parts for that steering box on car. Sweet has a 8 to 1 box our USMTS friends use and like it better than the 605. It is pricy though and you will have to change some parts to use it.

About a 1 1/2 years ago we started running the 6:1 box from Sweet. It is great and so easy to turn, obviously no steering quickner needed. Give Sweet a call and discuss the 6:1 option- you won't be disappointed.Comment
