quick change gear help

wat gear would work on a three eighths track.... i have 08 shaw with a 406 chevy small block...rpms i would want 2 b around 8500.... and its a winters quick change

First thing to do is check and make sure your cam curve does not "stop" or flatten out before 8500. If the curve looks good, probably run 620-633. JMO

If you are referring to flora I'd venture to say you should start out around a 5.83 and adjust from there

Just remember that as a rule of thumb that every ten numbers gets you 100 rpm! Food for thought.
