Need help with forward bite!!

Im looking for more forward drive/bite. the car is a imca mod. the car is good going in and though the middle but on exit i cant get to the gas due to tires wanting to spin while the other cars drive away from me. Im not sure if i have not over geared my to car to find better drive off the corner. i have a 583 gear in and talking to most other racers im a gear higher than most. 567 or 543 is what most are running. i know i dont have the hp most of them have. i only have a 358 with 15-1 comp and spotman II heads and a comp 295 b-6 cam. here is my scale number and other info. any help would be amazing. thx you for the Help

Have you tried lowering the lrl bar on frame or if you have a hole closer to axle tube lrt down on b/c? What type of pull bar do you have, if its a biscuit what color, if a spring what spring? You could move the lr shock to a clamp bracket will help but sometimes its a handful to drive in traffic.

no i have not lowered the lrl bar. i can try that. i was afraid that it would take out rear steer. i do have holes on b/c so i can lower it on b/c. it is a spring bsb outlaw with a yellow jacket spring. 1000 to 1600....thx for the avice.

Do you have any trail in the RR? You can also try lowering the RRU on the frame or raising it on the birdcage. We have been down to 12 degrees before on a real slick track. For us about 15 degrees seems to work good. Just some suggestions. Good luck.

Are you trailing the rr or is the rear end square? If trailing the rr over 1/4 in, with the lru bar at 30 deg. you may be getting to much rear steer making you loose off. If your rear is square try going to 70 lbs bite. If it's not square, square it up and go to the 70 lbs bite. It might make you a little loose in depending on your driving style but you should have way more forward drive off. If you don't want to try the other suggestions, just try lowering the rru bar one hole. It works for me. JMO

I ran my lub at 30 degrees with a 8-2 in front and had the same problem. I think on a slick track it tries to over traction lr and you end up losing traction on that tire. First things to try: get that left top bar down to around 25-26 at ride height and your right upper to 15 like Hagen said. Then see how it feels and report back.

Lowering the lrl bar will usually take rear steer out, you might try what the others suggested. Good luck.
