    Gears for the mile?

    What are the common gears guys are running on the mile tracks?? Wanting to turn mid 7's.

    I ran a 3.70 at Springfield with a good 383

        Thanks guys!! I was originally told a 411-433 for the indy mile, but someone else told me a 471, maybe more. I wasnt sure.

            471 is def not what you want at Indy. I turned more Rpm's at Indy with less gear. 411 at indy was 8600. 433 at dq is 82-8400 range. Tracks have a very different layout. These numbers may not be exactly the same for your application but will give you an idea of what to do from track to track.
