    Ignition issue

I have an msd 6600 ignition with an 8728 rev control going to an msd hvc coil which is then hooked up to an hei distributor. I followed the msd wiring diagram for magnetic pickup distributors, but I still don't have any spark. The 6600 is getting power, but I'm not sure about the rest. Anyone have any ideas?

First you would want a MSD 8738 to be hooked to the MSD 6600 not a MSD 8728. Have you pulled the module out of the HEI and running the trigger direct to the MSD 6600. On the MSD 6600 you will want to make sure the pink wire from the MSD 6600 is going to the Positive wire off of the sensor in the Dist & the Black wire of the MSD 6600 is hooked to the Negative side of the Dist sensor. You will want to make sure the Small Red wire of the MSD 6600 has +12vdc to it when you want the box to run. If this is missing the box will never fire. You will also want to make sure that you use a MSD 8250 coil with that MSD box or you will cook any other coil sooner or later.
