mounting rear shock on southern sportmod

While replacing my rear shocks I noticed one side was mounted on the top of the bucket, and the other was on the bottom. Is there a handling advantage doing it oneway or another?

usually the left is mounted below for more rod extension length, and the right is mounted above for compression length.
adjust the spacers to make sure you don't fully extend the LR shock during body roll
