    Lower ball joint help

I'm trying to find out what lower this may be and what balljoint I need. It's a press in style. I have tried qa1 pn 109 and it was a touch too big and a ball joint for a 81 Monte Carlo is way to big. I use 5" springs with no problem. Is it a nova?

That might be a Lightning Nova style lower. The ball joint they use will not press in, but fit loosely and have 3 tack welds on the bottom to hold it in. Call Donnie or Vickie at 606-878-RACE or lchassis@aol.com or HEAVY DUTY on 4m and they'll tell you what it is.

The ball joints that were in it were exactly how you described. Thank you

        lower

It looks like a pierce lower, but someone might have changed the balljoint. Lightning (that I am aware of) never used a heim on the chassis mount. Used a plastic bushing and sleave.
I think there should be lifeguards in the genepool.

I emailed lightning and they believe its a pierce or allstar lower. Going to try the 73-81 truck ball joint they recommended. Thanks.

Pretty positive it's pierce, might call n get the insert that adapts it to a screw in and have more variety in screw in ball joints

Call pierce to get the inset or does someone else carry it? Thanks
