I have an old M & M mod with a Crown Vic front clip (IMCA mod). It uses the original spindles and rotors with metric calipers. Has anyone used something lighter for spindles? Pinto maybe? How about steering linkage.

We use the Original Spindles with the metric brake stuff. I don't think the big chevy stuff interchanges But I was told to use the interceptor drag links and steering arms and gear box in the later model right before it switched to rack and pinion for better ackerman bumpsteer and the box is quicker

spindles
The newer box is lighter also. The Crown Vic spindles and rotors are so heavy, I just wondered if someone had a lighter setup that we could put on.

the newer crown vic stuff is pretty tall. looks pretty good, but does not use a converntional balljoint. The stock spindles have to be machined to work.I think there should be lifeguards in the genepool.
