Crank case evac system all-star v/s Moroso

I bought an allstar crank case evac system and then looked at the moroso one and the moroso one had a little slit on the pipe that gets welded in alittle up from the angled cut! Is that better?Can I cut the slot in the allstar one?or should I leave it alone?

It's just a guide as to how far in to put the pipe. Leave yours as it is and get the angle good and weld it in.
