tight getting in help

Im new to modifieds i have a dw-11 and im consistently to tight getting in and through the middle. Is ghere any chassis changes that will help? 4 bar both sides. Maybe my driving im not sure. Thanks

There's a ton of things u can do to free up entry...u can raise jbar on both sides...raise rr lower bar add wedge soften lf spring soften rr spring...theres a huge list but give us some of ur info and maybe we can see if anything jumps out at us

Before you change anything how are you entering the corner and driving thru. These cars need driven hard to work right. I struggled with the same thing last season and it started to get better the more laps I turned.

Another suggestion starts at post #1 and start reading and saving info. It's helped me a TON!!!

You need to check on the mechanical aspect of the car first. Make sure you dont have a brake drag issue ( stuck caliper or master cyl) which can cause a push. Make sure your front end is right ( camber, caster, and toe) check your shocks and coilover eliminators and make sure they are good, and not bent. After eliminating those possibilities, make sure that your left rear isnt falling down on corner entry ( which takes rear steer out, and causes car to pull to the right) before trying to adjust the tightness out with bar angles. I see so many people try to adjust problems by creating an opposite problem, and all they really need is maintanence. This is especially true when bying a used car.

drop your rf to 700 or 650. drop lr to 200. Left side % looks good. Increase your bite to about 80 lbs. How much trail are you running on right side? I would put about 3/8 inch depening on shape of your track. You are not far off so I am inclined to believe it could be your driving. Is the track tacky or dry? My DW 11 always liked 650 RF 700 LF 200's across the rear.. bout the same %'s as your have except I ran more bite, 100lbs or so.

Track usually dries out i have about 3/8 rear trail. Its a 3/8 highbanked track

Agree with mod 88s, especially on front springs 650 rf 700 lf and LR bite. JMO

Raise both right rods on chassis , upper to top hole , lower up 1 hole. Raise j-bar up i" on pinion. LF 750 or 700 spring , 5 shock , RF 650 spring , 4-7 shock or just the 4-4 , LR 175 spring , 4 shock , RR 200 or 225 spring , 4 or 5 shock . This should turn in better , and be a little calmer till you get used to the way these drive . The 7-2 on LR will make you tight in if you aren't driving it right. You should also make sure your brakes are working properly, balance bar working , 3 wheel not bleeding by valve , are you on more rear brake ( should be ).

Yea im probly 80-90% rear brake. So qhat yall arr sayin is that the lf should be stiffer than rf?

If you setup the car like I just posted , and you are still tight , then something is wrong. Try it and then get back to us. You have just started driving , in my opinion , the hardest cars to setup on dirt, and I've worked on everything. So be patient , it will take awhile.

Ione bug thing I thk were missing is jbar height/angle....spring oackagaes are so dependent on roll center locations....that could be entire prob if it has too much rake or is too low
