I have a friend with both Afco series 19 twin-tube and 23 series mono-tube shocks. Are either able to be upgraded to have base valves put in? If not what series modified shocks from Afco are? Thanks for any info on this.

The 19 series has a base valve in it already. The 23 series cannot be upgraded, however the 55 series is a Schrader valve gas shock with a base valve. Hope this helps. If I can help in any way, let me know. I work with Mark Bush and we service and sell AFCO shocks. Thanks -
If your 19series shocks are old enough, they might not have the upgraded base valve and shim stack. If that is the case, they sell upgrades for both. If you know what you are doing, they are pretty easy to do yourself. Call Speedway motors and ask for Dave in the shock room. He can help you out.Comment
