Chevelle stub wheel spacer afect on spring rate?

Was wondering if a 1inch wheel spacer on the front of chevelle stubbed mod would make the spring act softer or stiffer? Would there be any advantage or disadvantage to a wider front track width? Any advice or opinions would be appreciated. Thanks

What offset are you running now? I run 2" on the front of my car.

It will make the springs effective rate at the wheel softer, just because of leverage change.

I am running 2 inch offset wheels on front. Thought wide track width on front might improve handling? Thanks for the reply.

moving the rf out usually tightens the car up, good for a dry slick track. moving the rr out usually loosens the car, good on a heavy track we use a one inch spacer and a half inch spacer to help tune the car at the track.
