Glowing Red Brake Rotors

Need help. My left rear brake rotor starts glowing red a few laps into the feature, and stays red the whole race, including under caution laps. I know that they will turn red from use, but this is very excessive, enough to ruin a new rotor in one night. It is only doing it on the left rear. I have replaced the caliper, brake floater, rotors, and pads. Any ideas on what can be causing this? I trail brake, but not more than most other drivers do. Any input is appreciated.

What brake pad are you running? Is the brake line pinched anywhere, probably in the steel braided portion?

It's dragging somehow. Possibly like above post said once brakes are applied it's like a one way valve and holds the pressure after you let off.

I'm running the hawk black brake pads. I forgot to mention in the prior post, I have also changed the brake line from the t to the LR caliper.

1. Is your brake floater a single bearing or a double bearing?
2. On the retaining rings that hold floater in tube, have the slipped?
3. Can you move the caliper side to side on the pins (caliper free moving?)
3a. wandering if you have bent the caliper mounting plate, and it is binding the caliper, making it stick.

It's prolly only doing it when under load when the chassis is all hiked up. Mock it up in the shop and rotate the wheels.

I bet the brake floater is either bent or twisting on the tube. It's the only thing you haven't changed yet.

That is what I thought too when I read this but I was gonna let it go. Now that someone else brought it up what the hell lol

Nope on the traction control, although sometimes I feel like the only car on the track without it. I think it is in the brake floater, I looked last night and my brake pads were angled towards the center of the car, it looks as though both my floater may have slid over towards the center of the car a little bit. Gonna try to realign it and as well as replace the caliper. Anyone have a good measurement on the distance the caliper should be from the rotor? Just want to align it right side by side.

I think the from the rotor side of brake caliper mount to the rotor should be like 1" or 1 1/8"

Yes I had, I should have looked at the positioning of the old floater better, basically put the second one on the same way the first one was on. Stupid mistake on my part.
