New to mods and see there are all diff kinds of steering boxes out there. How do I know which 1 I have? Its on a chevelle stub car and is 3 turns lock to lock. Any way to ID it?

It has a 4 bolt top plate that the front and rear are square and the sides are more oval. Bad description?Comment

It's a stardand, non-metric box. Use a quickener with it to speed it up. Or you can replace it with a Sweet 6:1 or 8:1 box. The quickener is less expensive. I would use a 2:1 quickener.Bill W. and Dr. Bob......who could have known.Comment

Thanks. Has a 2:1 quickener now. It has a small leak and was looking to replace it with the same box.Comment
